Our Mission:
Our mission is to share the truth and healing power of Jesus to women who have been impacted by emotional, physical, and sexual abuse-rape, sex trafficking, childhood sexual abuse, incest, sexual assault. We follow God's calling to:
"bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair." Isaiah 42:7

Our Vision:
We strive to reach every teen and woman who feels alone and isolated from the shame of abuse by providing a safe environment for healing.

Our History:
In 2013, we offered the first healing retreat for survivors of sexual abuse. Since then we've hosted over 14 healing retreats over a 10 year period in the Tampa Bay area. During the covid pandemic, Cathy was inspired by the Holy Spirit to start a women's retreat center. We now celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Women's Abuse Christian Outreach was founded by Cathy Hayter in 2020 in the midst of the Covid pandemic. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Cathy was led to start a location where women can gather and heal together as the Body of Christ. Through the prayers of the community and generosity of local donors, the inspiration transformed into a reality in 2021.

Prior to the pandemic, Cathy and the volunteer team facilitated retreats at a local church and various retreat centers.

Cathy has relentlessly advocated for victims of sexual abuse since 2007. With the support her husband, Dave, she has raised awareness about child sexual abuse and human trafficking by speaking at churches and and organizing fundraisers. Cathy founded S.O.S (Speaking Out Against Slavery) anti-human human trafficking ministry at St. Paul Church which has spread to other local churches.
